Nestled on SE Hawthorne, VeganO MexicanO is a spot with delicious tacos, emmoladas, chilaquiles, burritos, chile relleno and so much more! With proteins such as jackfruit carnitas, soy curls with mole, and asada seitan. There’s something to satisfy that Mexican food craving.

Founded by Carlos Reynoso and Polo Abram Bañuelos in 2016 originally as a pop up. They later opened their brick and mortar and have created a standout menu with items such as "fish" tacos made with crispy oyster mushroom "pescado", chorizo tortas packed with homemade seitan that rivals any traditional meat version, massive nacho plates and so much more! They have an outstanding brunch menu as well that is worth coming for. There’s even a bar with delicious cocktails and mocktails. As a testament to their commitment to community, Mis Tacones offers free meals to brown trans people, creating a welcoming space that celebrates diversity through delicious food.

La Casa de Mamá
Inspired by her mother's, Miriam Carrera founded La Casa de Mamá as a heartfelt tribute to her roots in Veracruz, Mexico. It is a panaderia pop up where you’ll find delicious conchas, flan, champurrado, and for savory, some delicious tamales with their signature mole sauce.
